Not all
websites/blogs have the same
earning potential with AdSense or Yahoo! Publisher Network. There are many deciding factors in this regard which includes traffic, subject,
optimization, layout, relevance, etc. Fortunately, now there are many other ways too to gain money from your
blog. One such good option is selling links on your blog. This is really more advantageous for sites with high PageRank. The higher your PageRank, the bigger the chances that you’ve have connection with advertisers.
Text Link Ads are one of my favorite ad networks apart from
Google AdSense. The links offer advertisers benefits of more traffic and are not intrusive too. Try
Text Link Ads if you are not making enough income from other advertising options with your blog. Numerous webmasters/
bloggers are reporting better returns with Text Link Ads.Text Link Ads is a mart for publishers to sell ad space and advertisers to buy it. TLA works by allowing advertisers to directly purchase link space on websites/blogs. Every site involved in the
program is listed in the TLA directory. If an advertiser browsing through the catalogue of websites likes your
website/thinks the topic is contextual to his
business, purchases a link for a fixed price. Links are priced automatically by TLA based on the traffic, link popularity, Alexa ranking and PageRank of the site. The publisher receives a 50% share of advertising revenue. The ads are noninvasive; they’re just basic text links to a website from within the contents of your page/post. The links are very discreet with a very similar appearance to that of any other link on your site. Their ad serving technology currently supports websites that use server-side processing, i.e., any site that uses PHP, ASP, Perl, Cold Fusion, etc are supported. Most forum and blog softwares are compatible with their technology.
To receive ads, the site needs to be accepted on the TLA program and have a small piece of HTML code inserted in the template. WordPress users have even more advantage of just downloading and activating a plugin after signup, nothing to do with pasting codes. Unlike other links, these outbound links can’t have a detrimental affect on the site’s PageRank. The great advantage of TLA is that payment is received simply for displaying links (not a pay per click program) i.e., the number of clicks, if any, is irrelevant. As a publisher, whenever a link appears in your TLA space, be confident that it’s money in your bank account already. You aren’t giving away free advertising as is the case with most other advertising services. As a publisher, you can choose how many ads you would like to display and whether they should be displayed on a single page or site wide. The more ads you choose to appear, the less the price per link, hence be careful. You can choose where to place the links on a page, but remember that certain places can get you more money. You can use the Text Link Ads calculator to see how much a link is worth on your site depending on where you put it and whether you choose to offer a single page or a site-wide link. The left side of your page can earn you the most and the link worth decreases as you move to the right side.
TLA also offers feedvertising, wherein ads appear when the site is displayed in feed readers. The payment rates for feedvertising are comparable to those of normal links.
Payment is made by either PayPal, where there is no minimum payout limit, or check, where there is a $25 minimum payout limit.
If you’re not using TLA and have a site that you think has the potential of earning you a few bucks, I recommend you to give it a try. You really have nothing to lose and ads only appear if they’ve been paid for. Click here to sign up with Text Link Ads and start earning from your website.
