Blogs On Blogging Tips That New Bloggers Should Not Miss Reading

Let’s veer off from our niche, medical transcription, this week to blogging tips.  Nowadays any kid can start blogging and need not be an expert in any niche but has the will to share experiences and thoughts of life in plain readable language, an online diary of one’s own experiences.  A blog if maintained properly and updated at regular intervals can fetch you fans cross borders and can build a community around you.  Monetizing a blog having thousands of visitors could pay your bills too! Can you imagine even doctors amongst their busy schedules are finding time to blog? A few of them are Dr. Walter van den Broek of Shock MD, Nick van Terheyden of Speech Understanding, Dr. Joseph Kim of Medicine And Technology, and Dr. Kevin Pho of Kevin MD, out of which Dr. Joseph is finding time to maintain even multiple blogs!  If docs can blog and find time blogging, why not us medical transcriptionists, who are always online?

With that tip, now you are convinced and interested in starting a blog yourself but lacking information on how to begin and where to begin with or would like to know if there are any blogs that pour in information on the latest trends in a blogger’s world.  Of course googling for relevant information on blogging will fetch you all the information on blogging and you can get information on basic blogging lessons, what a starter would need, from MT Herald’s blogosphere category.  With the free, priceless, state-of-the-art publishing platform WordPress and the plugins from WordPress collection,  you can do wonders in blogging. All you need is a domain and a web host, available within ten dollars. Weblog Tools Collection is where you can find the latest news on themes and plugins.

Even without opening your wallet, you can start blogging with a free account from BlogSpot or WordPress Free Blog.  I won’t suggest going for these two if you’re really serious about blogging as building your blog there will be like building your home on someone else’s plot but you can learn the basics there if you wish to.  That’s it, your launchpad is ready.

Hot Blogs On Blogging Tips That New Bloggers Should Not Miss Reading

However, to get the latest information on blogging and blogging trends, you need to subscribe and read regularly a few blogs on blogging to keep yourself updated of the latest happenings in the blogosphere.  There are umpteen blogs (and splogs) but which of them are trustworthy and have authoritative content?  Which are those blogs that new bloggers shouldn’t miss reading and subscribing to?

Okay, find below a few blogs that I came across on my way blogging.  No metrics like PageRank, Alexa traffic ranking, Technorati authority, FeedBurner subscriber count etc., have been taken into account while charting out this list but only the quality of the contents of these blogs that impressed me. Here they are for your perusal too:

Blogs are arranged alphabetically and not according to the trust and authority.  These bloggers are sharing their  experiences, blogging success secrets, tips to increase blog traffic, benefits and hardships they had while blogging, and heeding to their blogging tips can avert troubles and aid reaping the benefits.  Out of these, John Chow doesn’t confine himself to the niche and he shares whatever information he feels to share with his readers, often his daily activities like dining outside but whenever he gives out information on blogging, that used to be a solid advice, hence learn the art of separating wheat from chaff.

Essentially, these are the blogs on successful blogging tips that I have subscribed to and is in continuation with the earlier post, medical transcription and transcriptionists’ blogs that I’ve subscribed to.  Do you know any best blog on blogging?

LOL. You being from Netherlands, I doubted you might have hardly heard about medical transcription and that has become true. Even the Indian doctors who haven’t accessed the United States either for their studies or practice are like you, rarely heard about this term only specific to the US. I used to provide them information on this allied health profession of “medical transcription.

A medical transcriptionist is a medical secretary or an assistant who helps out doctors on those administerial matters of preparing patient reports.
