December First – World AIDS Day – Take Pledge, Spread Awareness
- 0 Comments

Today it’s December 1, World AIDS Day. It is two decades since World Health Organization staged the first World AIDS Day in 1988 to increase awareness about HIV/AIDS but still the numbers of those who are getting infected newly are of high concern, which shows the awareness campaign is not getting penetrated to grass-root levels.
Can we do something on our part to spread the message that someone can be saved from getting contracted with HIV/AIDS? Yes we can. Come let’s unite and join the World AIDS Campaign this World AIDS Day in fighting this disease to eradicate from the surface of earth by taking this pledge for action:
- I will get myself tested for HIV/AIDS if I have already had unsafe sex.
- I will be aware of myself about safe practices and try to understand about HIV/AIDS.
- I will educate ignorant younger people about HIV/AIDS today.
- I will wear a red ribbon today.
- I will talk with friends about issues surrounding HIV/AIDS.
- I will not discriminate, tarnish or spread hate against those who have already been infected with HIV/AIDS, they have all the rights to live as ourselves. I will respect their right and will shower them with love that they won’t feel alienated.
Come, let’s bring up an AIDS-free generation.
