I am a student at Med Workshops, and will soon be starting my internship program.  Med Workshops offers a Mentored Internship program and a guaranteed job offer, which is why I chose them over all the other programs.  I am really excited to start putting into practice what I've learned, but admittedly a bit nervous, too!  My instructors have been great, so I'm sure I don't need to worry, but wondered if anyone else has done this.  I've heard that internship is really the only way to get a job afterwards--I've talked to many students from other programs who spent all that time and money and then couldn't find a job at the end of their course!

I have been working through the Med Workshops Medical Transcription Course. http://www.medicaltranscriptionjobstraining.com   I am so excited to start the mentored internship portion of my training soon.  I am ready to get started, but feel very secure that I have a safety net in mentored internship, they will be watching out for me.  I know once I am through with this last portion of my training, I will be ready to do the job that Med Workshops places me in.  I am thrilled to be starting in this new career!

Well i did my training with career steps, they are the best in MT training.but you need to work really hard in acquiring the skills and appear in as many tests to perfect your skills.it benefited me a lot.
but they are little expensive so if you decide to join the make sure that you make optimal use of their training.

Since your IP address reports you to be from India, I was just curious to know if you did the course in India.

Yes you are right, right now job prospects in US are very bleak.since India is clocking robust growth,it made sense to relocate here.

I would imagine that an internship with a medical transcription company would be a good thing.  Full-time job experience is preferred, but if that is not an option, which is very true for some people, then an internship would show some legitimate work experience.
