Offshore Outsourcing – Indian Medical Transcription Company List

The currency value difference between US Dollar and Indian Rupee, the availability of cheap, educated, English known/speaking skilled labor and favorable time difference between the two countries led to a boom in the mid and towards the end of 1990s in opening up ITES shops in India, thanks to the revolution of computers and proliferation of Internet. While the 1990s witnessed mushrooming up of BPOs/call centers and medical transcription companies and many Indian BPO owners squeezing themselves into the billionaire list, many such medical transcription companies by Indian entrepreneurs got withered out too at the speed at which they sprung up being unable to withstand the stringent quality and turnaround time requirements in the healthcare industry. A lot of US national medical transcription service organizations (or simply MTSOs) have also set up their shops in India to cash-in the advantages of outsourcing apart from these local companies.

I have tried to compile here a detailed list of medical transcription companies currently operational in India (both local and US based) with hyperlinks to their homepages or sub pages as appropriate and wherever possible with their complete addresses and phone numbers (subject to change) to the most possible detail, so that it may be useful to route your queries/job orders to these at the click of your mouse or a phone call.

Medical Transcription Companies in India

I have dropped the companies that do not have a web site or if their web site is down for some reason. May be the company has withered out or if the institution cares a damn maintaining its outlook, how can we expect a good work from them? Interestingly many Indian transcription companies have set up offices in the US to better serve the clients and receive orders while many other Indian companies have tried to mask themselves as US national medical transcription service companies!

It doesn’t really matter where medical reports are transcribed, if the quality and prompt TAT isn’t there then the MT and/or company will not last long in the transcription field. Sometimes you have to pay more per line to get a quality product.

The only thing I’ve heard here in the US is that Obama wants to eliminate tax breaks for companies that outsource. As for healthcare, he wants to overhaul the system. Which basically means for us more taxes.

I think it will cost the US more to stop the outsourcing/offshoring trend. Even if they cut tax breaks, that will just mean that, overall, they’d still need to pay more to keep jobs in the US. Even then, they can’t guarantee the jobs are really kept within the US.

Well if everyone in the USA is unemployed it would not be good for anyone. That would be a guaranteed career-killer for a politician. Some jobs it’s impossible to outsource, and some jobs are better off outsourced than kept stateside. In the US economy there is a place for both offshored and stateside workers. It takes both.
